Industrial sectors we engineer for

MotiraTech applies three capabilities — PMDD drive systems, battery energy storage, and remote and field services — to heavy-industrial operations where drivetrain availability, electrical load and site access determine what is actually workable.

How to read this page

Sectors below describe the operating conditions our capabilities are engineered for. They are application areas, not a list of completed installations or customer references.

Sectors

Where our capabilities apply

Each sector is framed by the constraint that usually drives the engineering decision, and by which of our capabilities is relevant to it.

Mining

Crushing, grinding and continuous conveying where drivetrain availability governs production, and where sites are often remote and seasonally accessed.

PMDD drive engineering and retrofit assessment · energy storage and hybrid power evaluation · field engineering and commissioning support

Bulk material handling

Overland and in-plant conveying, stackers, reclaimers and transfer systems where drive availability sets throughput across the whole material path.

Conveyor drive engineering · gearbox-replacement assessment · installation and commissioning support

Ports and terminals

Shiploaders, stackers, reclaimers and terminal conveying systems operating against berth schedules, where an unplanned drivetrain outage propagates into vessel demurrage.

Conveyor drive replacement engineering · peak-demand and load-profile evaluation · field service coordination

Cement and aggregates

Abrasive, dust-laden material handling and process lines running near-continuously, where drive maintenance access is difficult and downtime is costly.

Direct-drive application assessment · drive and controls integration · field-service coordination

Pulp and paper

Continuous process operations with chip and material handling lines, planned shutdown cycles and demanding availability requirements between outages.

Gearbox-replacement and direct-drive assessment · shutdown-window installation planning · commissioning support

Steel and industrial manufacturing

Plants with mixed rotating equipment, evolving electrical loads and progressive modernization programs carried out around production.

Drive-system engineering · commercial and industrial energy storage configuration · installation and commissioning support

Mining industry solutions

Conveyor drives, mineral processing drive systems, peak demand management and remote mine site power, with the field engineering scope that goes with them.

Application areas, not deployment claimsThis page states where our engineering scope is applicable. It does not assert installed base, customer references, project counts or performance outcomes in any sector. Suitability for a specific operation is established through an application review.
Common constraints

What these sectors have in common

Different processes, similar engineering problem: heavy continuous equipment, an installed environment that cannot be redesigned, and a narrow window in which to change anything.

Availability governs the decision

In continuous operations the cost of an outage usually exceeds the cost of the equipment. Scope is built around planned windows rather than ideal conditions.

Existing plant sets the boundary

Most work is a retrofit into an installed mechanical, electrical and control environment, so interfaces are established before equipment is selected.

Site access shapes execution

Remote and seasonally accessed sites determine how equipment arrives, when work can occur and what has to be staged in advance.

Electrical context is site-specific

Supply arrangement, load profile, existing generation and any renewable generation determine whether a storage or hybrid arrangement is applicable.

Direct and coordinated scopeEngineering, application assessment, integration definition, commissioning and technical support are performed by MotiraTech. Transportation, licensed trade labour, heavy equipment, camp services and site communications are coordinated through qualified contractors and providers, and identified as such in the project scope.
